On Thursday, October 29, GCA elementary held their Second Annual Storytelling Festival and Competition. The entire elementary celebrated the day with special activities centered around the theme of “Harvest”. The highlight of the day was the storytelling competition. 15 children in grades 3-5 told stories to a packed Chi Sigma. The stage was decorated to celebrate the fall season. The stories were traditional fairy tales, tall tales, and fables. Local media celebrities were the judges for the competition. The judges were Matt Hinkin, Kris Love, Marisa Lykon, and our very own Shannon Morris. The following children won the competition:

Third Grade: Winner Meeya Lowry   Runner-Up Chloe Gibson
Fourth Grade: Winner Hannah Sloas   Runner-Up Holly Murphy
Fifth Grade: Winner Shelby Rodgers   Runner-Up Ryan Clift
