PTF (Parent/Teacher Fellowship)
PTF is a volunteer group established by Grace Christian Academy to help further the mission of GCA. Volunteers are needed in many areas including lunchroom, room mothers, special events, field trips, and field days.
Moms in Touch
You are not alone! Moms in Touch is a group of moms who meet for one hour each week to pray for their children and for all of Grace Christian Academy. Moms in Touch Prayer Group meets Tuesday mornings at 8:00 am in room W-021 (Grace Baptist Church Prayer Chapel). Contact Beth Kendrick (beth.kendrick@comcast.net or 216-4337) for more information.
Visitor Policy
Parents are welcome to visit GCA throughout the day. All parents and visitors must sign in at the GCA counter upon arrival and wear a visitor’s badge. Visits should not disrupt instruction, testing, or other activities. Guests are asked to please adhere as closely as possible to the dress code.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/teacher conferences are encouraged as an excellent way to exchange information that will provide a greater understanding of the student. School-wide parent/teacher meetings are scheduled on a regular basis, and parental attendance is strongly encouraged. Teachers will also schedule additional conferences with parents. Parent-initiated meetings may be arranged by calling the office and leaving a message for the teacher to contact you or e-mailing the teacher directly. The teachers’ e-mail address is their first initial followed by their last name @gracebc.org.
GRACE GEAR
Grace Gear, GCA's on-campus store, is locatedin Cullum Hall in the K-8 building.. Each Friday, students have the option of donating $1 for the opportunity of wearing a GCA spirit shirt. A variety of spirit items are available through Grace Gear, including tee-shirts, sweat shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats, bags, stadium seats, window decals, magnets, and GCA license plates. Middle school and high school P.E. uniforms are also available at the Grace Gear store.
Regular store hours are Wednesday afternoons from 2:45 - 3:30 and Thursday mornings from 7:00 - 8:15. All of the proceeds from the sale of Grace Gear merchandise go to support the ministries of Grace Christian Academy. School Pictures
Creative Images of East Tennessee is happy to be your school photography company. We bring more than 30 years of school photography experience to the Academy, and we look forward to the opportunity to work with the school's yearbook staffs and student families to provide a memorable experience.
For information on senior photographs, grades K-11 pictures, class group photographs and sports (except football and cheerleading), pkease contact our office at 865.947.8804.
We also offer online action shots that we make available to students and parents. For any games we cover, we post the shots online and send the school and its athletes a password that allows them to view or to order, if desired.
Sports teams and individual photographs must be ordered from the proof form that is sent back to the school after pictures are taken. Team and individual pictures are not available online. |
