Kindergarten Admission Process
Admissions Process
To maintain the highest degree of excellence and academic distinction, Grace Christian Academy makes careful consideration of the student applications that are received each year. Students are admitted to the school after a personal interview with the principal and the expressed Christian commitment of the family. This helps ensure successful cooperation between the parents’ goals for their child and the Biblical values that are taught and reinforced throughout a child’s academic experience at Grace.
Grace Christian Academy reserves the right to positively affect the school environment by admitting only those students whose academic, physical, and emotional needs can be met. To offer the highest quality learning environment possible, the school may, at times, limit admission to or remove students whose influence is detrimental to the other students.
It is our greatest desire to make the admissions process an informative and enjoyable one for each family. Before beginning the admissions process, you may want to attend one of our many Open Houses or schedule a personal tour. To schedule a tour, please contact the Admissions Coordinator at 865.691.3427.
To apply for a kindergarten space for your child, please complete the following steps.
- Complete a student application. Turn it in with the $250.00 application fee to the office at Grace Christian Academy.
- Student Screening: To ensure that each child is developmentally and academically ready for kindergarten, each prospective kindergarten student will undergo a brief screening (less than 30 minutes).
- Family Interview: Your family will meet with the Elementary/Middle School principal. This provides an opportunity for the administrators to meet your family, discuss your interest in GCA, and to answer any additional questions that you might have about the school.
