2011 MS/HS Christmas Choral Concert

December 12, 2011 found the GCA middle and high school choirs settning up for their 8th annual Christmas Dinner Concert. The dinner always sells out, and this year was no different, as Cullum Hall and the middle school gym were packed with families anxious to see and hear the concert.

A delicious catered dinner was served, and tables were waited by 68 high school singers, who served drinks, desserts and a couple songs to supplemant the savory fare. A boisterous "Twelve Days of Christmas" finished off the dinner portion of the night, and patrons walked over to the GBC worship center for a superb concert by the middle school chorus, who sang several difficult pieces with superior sound.

The senior high students then took center stage with a couple songs, highlighted by "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, featuring four stirring solos by Anna hamilton, Kristin Hejna, Rachael Asher and Leeanna Palmer. The traditional finale, "The Lord Bless You and Keep you", was performed with an invitation for GCA alumni to join in the singing. A host of GCA grads took the stage, some of whom have younger siblings at Grace, and they sang a stirring final song.

God continues to bless the music program at Grace Christian Academy, and we are grateful to Ms. Shuler-Cleveland and the choir families for their wonderful table decorations and a memorable evening.
