Juniors Chris Bernard and Daniel Jones have been selected to
participate in the 2008 Tennessee Governor's School program which lasts five
weeks and awards six hours of college credit for challenging study in a
number of content areas. The schools in which Chris and Daniel are enrolled
are "firsts" for GCA.

information technology and business leadership. Group work with other gifted

business plan for an information technology-based business.
Daniel begins his study at The School for the Humanities June 1st at the
University of Tennessee, Martin. This school has a rich tradition as the
state's very first Governor's School. Studies here will feature instruction

Spiritual Emphasis Week
We had a
great week during spiritual emphasis with Rick and Mick. We held two chapels
a day for middle and high school students, and one chapel was held during
the week for elementary students. Rick and Mick spent time counseling
students who came and asked. The two highlights of the week were the small
group time on Tuesday and the testimony time on Friday. Many students came
forward to share what God had been doing in their lives, and students were
given an opportunity to pray together. It was awesome to see students coming
together in prayer. Please continue to pray for our student body as they
continue to grow in the Lord.
