In order to be a school of the highest quality, Grace Christian Academy must continually establish policies which enhance the Christian educational process. We cannot allow one student, either because of discipline or disability, to hinder the education of other students. For this reason, we will admit only those students whose academic, physical, and emotional needs can be met. GCA promotes a high level of literacy and academic achievement for our students in a Christian environment. We also reserve the right to positively affect the climate and peer influence in each class by limiting admission to or removing from class any student whose influence would be detrimental to the goals of the school.
Students in K-12 are admitted on the basis of previous school record, personal interview and expressed Christian commitment of the family. The student body makes up a representation of over 100 local churches. Students possess average to above average ability and have scored 1 to 1 1/2 times over national norms in standardized testing in every subject of every grade.
Grace Christian Academy students who play varsity sports are not permitted to receive financial assistance from anyone except a parent, bona fide guardian, or other family member.
Grace Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded, or made available, to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, athletic and other school administered programs, nor in the hiring of faculty or administration.

Phase I of the new high school building opened in 2006. This building has greatly enhanced the school's academic and athletic facilities. The high school area consists of a multi-purpose athletic field and a 45,000 square foot building which houses six classrooms, two laboratories, a gymnasium, weight room and wrestling area.
Due to the rapid growth of the school, new expansion plans were approved by the School Board that will provide nine new classrooms and a music suite, opening much-needed space for the middle school in the original building. The building will also have a finished shell for a cafeteria and kitchen, and when funding has been completed, it will be furnished and prepared for meeting the needs of a rapidly growing high school population.
The high school, which now meets in both buildings, will be consolidated under one roof. The additional classroom space is expected to be completed in time for the 2010-2011 school year. |
